在过去的十年里, Ohio’s percentage of English learner students has doubled to approximately 60,000名学生. These students represent more than 110 different native or 首页 languages. How well prepared are you to meet the learning needs of this growing population of students?
Both the 12-credit-hour TESOL 证书 and the 15-credit-hour TESOL 背书 Program can be completed in one year or less.
These programs are for graduate students who plan to teach students abroad or adult English- as-a-Second-Language students. However, the 12-hour certificate is not designed for PK-12 teaching in the United States.
All courses are available online; some may also be offered face to face.

The TESOL coursework complements a wide range of related disciplines, 包括外语, international studies and communications, and provides theoretical as well as practical instruction to students seeking training in TESOL. The programs also serve students with an undergraduate degree who are seeking specific training to improve their employment prospects where language, culture and communication are concerned.

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) (K-12) 背书
The endorsement is an accredited program that leads to a K-12 Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) 背书 that attaches to a current Ohio teaching license. Candidates must complete the OAE exam (021), and access to students is required for the internship. Candidates must apply for endorsement through the Ohio Department of Education through OH/ID.

Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) 证书
The certificate prepares preservice or inservice teachers to provide services to TESOL students. 这不是TESOL背书. The certificate does not require access to students, nor does it require passing the OAE exam.

Obtaining a TESOL endorsement on your Ohio teaching license enables you to specialize in teaching English to non-native speakers, whether in traditional classroom settings or ESL-specific programs.
